ABOUT COCHI

Cochi was an exceptional Labrador Retriever and an important foundation dog behind River’s Edge Retrievers.

He came from strong breeding, with Endless Mountain behind him and Manny — Tealwood’s Endless Mt. Man In Black — as his sire. That background showed in Cochi’s ability, temperament, and trainability.

He combined a natural desire to retrieve with a calm disposition and strong trainability — qualities that mattered both in the field and in the home.

Cochi was trained and hunted extensively and earned his AKC Senior Hunter title, reflecting his working ability and reliability.

More importantly, he had the kind of temperament that makes a Labrador a true companion: steady, intelligent, and eager to work with his handler.

Although Cochi has since passed, frozen semen was collected when he was younger so that his genetics could be preserved.

Frozen semen from Cochi was collected and stored for future responsible breeding.

Breeding with frozen semen requires planning and coordination with a reproductive veterinarian, and procedures such as surgical or transcervical insemination may be used depending on the situation.
